Think of your life as a colorful, chaotic circus show where everyone is on a different contraption. Some of us get around on trusty, solid tricycles from childhood. Others ride bicycles quickly ahead, causing the wind to rip through our hair as we get excited by the never-ending motion. Then there are the fearless individuals, balanced precariously on a unicycle and testing the limits of equilibrium with each wobble and spin.

Equilibrium isn’t about never swaying, but about the last minute tweaks we make, realising that moving steadily and slowly matters more than moving quickly and that occasionally we may trip and fall and that we may need to get off and collect our breath before getting back. However, the beauty of this tri, bi to unicycle act is that we are surrounded by our family, friends and seldom strangers who support us.

So, let's embrace adventurous journeys on our bikes, letting our scars remind us of our resilience as we embark on our TEDx journey. As we’re always evolving, continuously engaged in finding our center, embracing the wobbles, and enjoying the ride, even when it's bumpy.

Sanskrit Language Activist

Padma Shri Chamu Krishna Shastry, born on 23rd January 1956 is a prominent Indian educationist renowned for his contribution to the proliferation of Sanskrit Language. He has been the spearhead of the “Speak Sanskrit movement” whereby the emphasis is put on teaching the language through verbal exercises rather than relying on traditional methods. Further, through his organization ‘Sanskrita Bharati’, he has launched a 10-day Sanskrit Speaking Course’ Shastry's efforts have also led many universities and colleges to adopt the communicative teaching method for Sanskrit. In the US, SAFL (Sanskrit as a Foreign Language) is a popular course among children of Indian origin. Sanskrita Bharati is active all over India and in 13 countries including the USA, Canada, the UK, and the UAE.

Ashok Kumar Singh

Ex-Indian Hockey Player

Ashok Kumar Singh, a stick artist of extraordinary skill-set, is a legendary ex-Indian hockey player. He was born on June 1, 1950 to the legendary Major Dhyan Chand. Ashok Kumar Singh, subsequent to the exceptional talent, great skill-set, unmatchable speed and deft ball control, was an absolute delight to watch. He represented India in several international tournaments including the World Cup and the Olympic Games. He was the first Indian to represent the Indian hockey team at four World Cups. Moreover, in 1975, he led India to its only World Cup victory by scoring the winning goal against Pakistan. In 1974, he was conferred the eminent Arjuna Award, the second-highest honour for outstanding performance in sports and games, by the Government of India. In 2013, he was conferred the distinguished Yash Bharati by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. In 2024, he was conferred the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest recognition for a lifetime contribution to sports and games, by the Government of India.
